Meet the Animals!
Bluebelle & co
OUR HERD OF COWS
Bluebelle is a pedigree Dexter cow.
She lives with her best friend Lois, as well as Lois’ daughter Violet, and all their calves.
Bluebelle, Lois and Violet are in calf, and we are very much looking forward to welcoming their new additions to the farm in May and June 2023.
Marie and the girls
Our flock of 50 sheep
Marie is a five-year-old Poll Dorset x North Country Mule Ewe – and she’s quite a character!
Marie is very much the leader of the flock, of which a few are pedigree Ryelands.
Lambing takes place in February, and often runs into March. If you’re here early in the year, there’s a good chance you’ll spot the little lambs out in the field, and may even see one being born!
We’re more than happy to give adults and children the opportunity to see the lambs up close, while under supervision and in a controlled environment.
It goes without saying that dogs must be supervised and kept away from livestock at all times.
The welfare of our animals is paramount, and we treat them with the same dignity and respect as we would our friends, neighbours and guests. We politely ask that our guests do the same.
Patsy AND Pablo
OUR PAIR OF PIGS
Patsy came to us as a newborn piglet, having been found on the road in a nearby village by a member of the public. She was no more than a few hours old and close to starvation.
After a lot of love and more than a few sleepless nights, Patsy is now fit and well, and enjoying life on the farm with her best mate Pablo.
Patsy and Pablo are very welcoming and enthusiastic when visitors are around, and love a good old scratch and a few treats!
harry, ron and Neville
Harry, Ron and Neville were born in February 2022 and love getting up to mischief!
They have lots of energy and enthusiasm for exploring, and love meeting new people - especially if you have treats!
Being very small, they’re great around children and adults, so we’re more than happy to introduce you if you’d like to meet them. Just ask!
